Supporting Tom Henson Charity Football Match

On Saturday June 15th at Bolsover Town Sports and Social Club, the Tom Henson Charity Football Match took place

We had the honor and pleasure of supporting this great cause. 4 of our Community First Responders (CFRs), along with our mascot ‘Rory’ went along to help support this football match and took the opportunity to teach CPR and defib use to attendees of this event. We were also supported by John W from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Back in April, Tom Henson Defib Map donated us with 2 brand new defibs for our CFR’s to use when out responding to 999 calls.

Tom Henson Defib Map Donates Two Defibs

On Monday 29th April, Tom Henson Defib Map donated Chesterfield Community First Responders two defibs.

They said “The work and dedication Chesterfield CFR’s provide to the community is incredible and help save so many lives! After hearing about their amazing work we donated 2 defibrillators that will be put to great use helping casualties and 999 call outs! Thank you and keep up the great work!”

Tom Henson tragically passed away on the 31st of July 2018 at Gosforth fields, Dronfield, from cardiac arrest caused by congenital heart disease. Whilst the paramedics, first responders, and bystanders did everything in their power to save him, unfortunately, Tom tragically passed away
