Supporting Tom Henson Charity Football Match

21st June 2019 Comments Off on Supporting Tom Henson Charity Football Match By webmin

On Saturday June 15th at Bolsover Town Sports and Social Club, the Tom Henson Charity Football Match took place

We had the honor and pleasure of supporting this great cause. 4 of our Community First Responders (CFRs), along with our mascot ‘Rory’ went along to help support this football match and took the opportunity to teach CPR and defib use to attendees of this event. We were also supported by John W from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Back in April, Tom Henson Defib Map donated us with 2 brand new defibs for our CFR’s to use when out responding to 999 calls.

Our volunteers within Chesterfield Community First Responders use the GoodSam app, so that at any time the app goes off we can be activated to Cardiac Arrests that are in our vicinity. All volunteers, Saving lives through technology

Operating Internationally, GoodSAM (Smartphone Activated Medics) incorporates the world’s most advanced emergency alerting and dispatching platform with a community of over 40,000 highly governed trained and trusted responders. The GoodSAM Cardiac system integrates with ambulance service CAD (computer aided dispatch) systems to trigger bystander response while the ambulance service is on route. GoodSAMPro provides a Community First Responder (CFR) dispatch system dispatching advanced care beyond cardiac arrest. Now with “Instant-On-Scene” – the emergency services can see the scene/patient via a video link. The system is now used by police, fire and other services for a host of emergency situations.
